I’M YOUR FRIEND!
My grandmother, Lena Mae, married my grandfather Emmer Clifford on September 1, 1919. Handwritings found in an old trunk after her death on May 10, 1968 revealed she liked to write about Jesus. Here’s one example:
Duty and Service
First, it is required of us to do our duty as near as we can in serving our Master. We are all his servants. There is nothing more sacred than laboring for the Savior. The labor of the faithful is never in vain – “Be thou faithful unto death henceforth is laid up for you a crown of righteousness.”
Always speaking kind words, doing kind deeds, and trying to lend a helping hand wherever we can, ever striving to love good and hate evil.
I was young when she died and to this day I don’t remember much of what she said. What I do remember is her consistent acts of kindness and the delicacies she made, stored in a pie safe, and offered freely! I recall her quiet demeanor, standards of excellence, and pleasantness.
So here I am decades later in lockstep behind my grandmother—Writing for JESUS. Through words, I reveal Christian faith is not pew-warming stuffiness or religious garble. Life experiences become fodder—the real food that shapes every Christian’s journey.
Through publications, blog posts, and eBooks my goal is to experience God to the fullest, alongside every reader. If one soul lives an eternity with the triune God, I’ve completed my mission.
Your friend in Christ,
Betsy
