Activate the Supernatural for One Amazing Ministry
To activate the supernatural, a Christian must tap into God’s outflow. You can’t do that when you bow to fears, worries, and anxiety. Bow to anyone other than Jesus and you cower in front of Satan, your enemy.
Most people don’t realize that’s what they do until they fail to exercise faith. But a Christian doesn’t need to live that way. They can change with God’s help by activating the supernatural power of God. His supernatural become their mode of operation.
To Activate the Supernatural You Must Eliminate Obstructions
- Christians do natural things to bring about supernatural results attempting to operate in God’s power without being anchored in His Word.
- Christians can’t receive or expect an outflow from God unless they know Him and feed on His Word regularly. By doing so, Christians tap into God’s resurrection power
These scriptures identify why Christians can’t activate the supernatural in their own strength.
Romans 10:17 (AMP)
So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.
Philippians 3:10-11 (AMPC)
For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] that if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].
Activate the Supernatural Through the Holy Spirit
Narrowing your path to releasing the supernatural comes down to two choices:
- Choose the flesh and your natural ability and limit yourself to what the world does. (Romans 6: – Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
- Become a member of God’s army by choosing the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to work through you. (Romans 8:14 – For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Christians partner in faith with God through the Holy Spirit. For God, moving in the supernatural is what’s natural. When we partner with Him, the supernatural is a commonplace occurrence.
We must see Him as our power source described in Ephesians 3:20-21.
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.
How Does a Person Activate the Supernatural?
- Meet with God often: Do you meet with God for a while and after a week you don’t? I’ve done that until I got into a habit of seeking God first before anything or anyone else. Doing that is now a lifestyle. I get up and head to the living room, crack open my Bible, and let the Word soak in. This has changed my life for the better.
- Stay prayed up: Because I meet with God often, praying is easier too. Like any spiritual discipline, you must train yourself to pray. Once you do, praying is as natural as breathing.
- Be baptized in the Holy Ghost: The Holy Spirit comes to live inside born-again believers. Holy Spirit baptism is a different experience. Acts 19:4-6. Paul said, “John performed a baptism of repentance, continually telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, [to confidently accept and joyfully believe] in Jesus [the Messiah and Savior].” After hearing this, they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in [unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesying.”
- Exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit: The closer you get to God, the more you become like Him. When that happens, you access the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit without trying to (wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues). Equally important is the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control).
- Pray in tongues: This isn’t a weird way of praying. It’s a natural way to commune with God and the quickest way to enter into His presence. There’s so much misinformation about praying in tongues that most people shy away from pursuing the truth. I invite you to learn more here.
- Be open to how God moves: Nothing is worse than attending a church that tries to work up excitement and call it moving with God. Sometimes He’s quiet and other times He wants worshippers to praise Him. Then, He may speak through a prophet, pastor, or someone else. It’s important to listen intently and not put Him in a box!
More Thoughts about Walking in the Supernatural
Every child of God is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason, it’s essential to activate the supernatural to have an amazing ministry on behalf of your Lord and Savior.
These are the last days and none of us can hold back because time is running out for unbelievers. You must eliminate any weight that holds you down.
Hebrews 12:1 (AMP)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].
Let’s run the race!
